With Windham Hill as a focus point, I decided that I needed to create some images that were more design oriented than pictorial, even though Windham Hill does use what one might call ‘traditional’ images on some of their covers. They are not of the ‘60s and ‘70s rock cover art genre, but more contemporary, sophisticated, stylized design. One company I really admire for their taste is cover art is Windham Hill. I have a growing collection of vinyl records that I’ve purchased at thrift stores simply because I admired the cover artwork. Led Zeppelin created some marvelous covers, but at that time, there were so many LP covers that really broke out that it is hard for me to pinpoint favorites. I’ve been in love with vinyl covers for a very long time. I’ve always been fascinated with vinyl records - well, not so much the records themselves, but more so with the covers and cover art. We applied the Light Cross photo effect and Masks from the Artistic and Bokeh sections.

Tap on the Mask or Effect icons and play with a few masks and photo effects until you’re happy with your final image.

Repeat to clone the face a few more times, then tap Apply when you’re done. Next, draw a few strokes to the left of your original photo.

Tap the cursor icon to the right of the paintbrush and place it on the face in your photo.

Tap the paintbrush and set the size to approximately 65, the opacity to 70 and the hardness to 55.

Go to Tools and tap on the Clone Tool.

Place it in the bottom center of the photo and tap Apply.

Tap the Sticker icon and add your sticker from the My Stickers tab.

Tap Apply to open your canvas in the photo editor. Tap on the layers icon in the bottom right corner and then tap on the paint bucket icon (this allows you to fill a layer with a solid color).

Tap the back arrow at the center of the top toolbar to go back to your original photo.

If necessary, tap on the paintbrush or eraser icons at the bottom and refine your selection. Outline your image and tap the arrow in the top right corner.

Open the Picsart app and press the plus button (+) at the bottom of your screen to start a new edit.
